Water News!!!

Good Morning Coast Guard Borinquen Residents,

AcueductosPR has released the following notification that we may experience a planned interruption in water service tomorrow, Tuesday 22OCT2019:

(translated) Aguadilla- On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) will carry out repair work on the outlets at the former Ramey Base in Aguadilla, said the director of the Aguadilla operational area, Ing. Nelson Saavedra.

The official said that due to these works, subscribers residing in the Ramey Base of Aguadilla will have an interruption of the water service.

The brigades will begin work from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The recovery of the service will be during the night of the same day.

As part of the work, controlled openings of hydrants will be made to release air from the lines and accelerate the recovery process.

The AAA recommends that once the service is restored, the water is boiled for three minutes before the possibility of turbidity.

For more information, subscribers can contact the Customer Service Telephone Center at (787) 805-2482 or access the Internet portal Also through the social networks Twitter and Facebook: @Acueductospr.

Please make preparations for the potential interruption in service, and contact Facilities Engineering if you have any questions.

Pets in Borinquen

BQN Housing Residents;

Complaints have been received from residents of the community regarding dog waste on the grounds; as a reminder pet owners are required to pick up and dispose of pet waste. Also, please remember that pets must be maintained on a leash when walking or when outside and that dogs will not be left unattended while outside. Pets that are off a leash can be threatening to others, particularly small children, and can run off, causing damage to the neighborhood.

While we know that the majority of pet owners act responsibly, we urge all pet owners to abide by these rules, so that the unsightly and unhealthy appearance of dog waste on the grounds can be eliminated.

Active Construction

Good Morning CG Housing,
The installation of generators and propane tanks are active construction sites and construction is not yet complete. Although a significant number of propane tanks and generators have been placed and tested, the installation of signs and bollards have yet to begin. All residents, including children, should keep out of the immediate area of an generators, trenches, and propane tanks due to potential construction hazards. In addition, damage to the equipment will cause construction delays at the cost of the Coast Guard, and due to the nature of the equipment being installed, may cause significant injury.
Please be aware of this when your kids are playing outside and always supervise Children.
